I do believe there actually was a meteor. But Joe West ejected it before impact. And then ejected the dinosaurs anyway.

Because he could.

Joe was was probably what ejected the meteor out of its original orbit in the first place

That’s a good point… It also provides us a more complete understanding of the Big Bang.
