Slideshow: Miguel Sano Is Too Big
Nineteen-year-old Miguel Sano was drafted signed as a shortstop. He was then seen as oversized for that position, so he was moved to third base. As the above photo — where he is compared to the 5’10”, 175 lb. Eduardo Escobar — shows, he may be a little large for third base as well. But Sano’s largeness doesn’t just apply to the baseball field. Miguel Sano is too big for many, many things.

According to B-ref, he’s the same height and weight as Derek Jeter. Of course, Derek Jeter is arguably oversized for his position.
I think that might be a little out of date. I saw him at the most recent Twins Fest. The 6-3 might be a little shy, and the 195 CERTAINLY is. He is large.
I saw a current listing at 6-4 240. Maybe that is a weird angle or he’s in his third trimester, but he didn’t look that big since I saw him play at Beloit.
