Rain Rain Come on Down
If every rainy day was like these rainy days, we might not have as much of a problem with them, ’cause these rainy days made for some awesome rain delay action.
Flip Flop Fly Ballin’ spotted this rain delay, where the comedy was all ‘of errors.’ Of special note is the silly hat. Because, hey, if you’re going to do your job very poorly, it’s worth doing it poorly in a silly hat.

And maybe this is why more rain delays aren’t like this.
Because it’s not incredibly smart to screw up the tarp, nor is it the safest thing to, um, revive medieval blood sport on the diamond just because you’re a little bored. The Clearly Dope was clearly watching.

There are plenty of ways that the Florida Atlantic and Western Kentucky baseballers could have hurt themselves here, too. But if caution had ruled the day, we wouldn’t have gotten the genius that was professional wrestling by amateur baseball players.
The verdict is clear. If you’re going to have to sit through the suckitude that is a rain delay, hope against hope that you are watching a team with a heightened sense of imagination.

With a phone full of pictures of pitchers' fingers, strange beers, and his two toddler sons, Eno Sarris can be found at the ballpark or a brewery most days. Read him here, writing about the A's or Giants at The Athletic, or about beer at October. Follow him on Twitter @enosarris if you can handle the sandwiches and inanity.
That joust was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. The only thing that could have made it better was if they had been riding big flying ostriches.
Agreed. The jousting is 100% pure sweet awesomeness.
I must +1 you since I also made a flying ostrich-themed comment under the Dayn Perry post.
