Nickname Seeks Player: Vote on “L’homme Qui Aimait les Femmes”

The nomination process, which pairs wonderfully with an artisanal Brie, is complete. The list of names has been whittled down to 10, and one of those names is a player rumored to be retired. In this instance, however, a dispensation — a French dispensation — has been granted. The act of doing so involves a kiss on each cheek between resigned drags on a Gitanes. Now go and vote, wine-drunk functionaries …

Thank you for exercising the franchise, absurd and meaningless though it may be.

Give Pat Burrell his last chance to win a nickname. He’s more of a man than anyone here.

Not with a name like ‘Pat,’ he isn’t.

Judging a book by a cover I see. If you were to open that book (like thousands of women before you), you would find an extremely long tale of womanizing, except the tail is in the front, not the back.

Pat Burrell has had plenty of tail.

The NotGraphs hivemind gave the nickname “Gomez’s Hamburger” to Mark Hamburger. If he was thus adjudged sufficiently “Gomez’s” by his surname alone, I feel comfortable doing the same for Patrick Burrell in the case of ‘aimait les femmes.’

My logic is unassailable and you are weeping profusely.
